I will also list the entire hop below in case you get lost.  For my project today I did a simple layout. This would be a nice gift for a mother or grandmother especially if you can get a photo of them at one of their birthdays from their childhood. The page could then be framed or added to a scrapbook. In this case I actually used my own photo- but I have created pages in the past and framed them for family members. I can not remember which cartridge I used for the number 2- but it is about 10 inches high- the flowers were all cut using the new Mother's Day Bouquet. I had a lot of fun mixing and matching the different flowers. The paper is BoBunny and My Mind's Eye.

For my first project I made a birthday card that includes a small gift. The card uses the Imaginisce birthday line of paper (i love this stuff).

The card is a tri-fold- all you do is cut a 12 in x 5.5 inch piece of cardstock and score at 3.5 inches, and 7.75 inches and fold- much of my embellishments on this card are just pieces of the coordinating paper cut out- I used the Spellbinders circle die and scalloped circle die for the opening in the center. I used Birthday Bash for the title on the card. The small gift is a beaded charm with a clip on it so you could attach to your purse or in my case to the stylus of my gypsy. Just add a loop of wire to the back of the card to attach the beaded charm. You can personalize it by selecting a charm that includes a hobby or initial of the birthday girl/or boy.

Weekly Challenge #17: B.A.B.Y. Challenge!

For this challenge your page must include the following:

• (B) = Brads
• (A) = Aqua
• (B) = Butterfly
• (Y) = You as the Subject

So this is what I ended up with- I had wanted to scrap this picture for awhile- I used My Minds Eye paper- and actually a lot of the 3-D is from cutting out elements from the pages and layering them. I used April Showers cartridge for the title and the butterflies. Brads are from making memories, used stickles, jewels, and wire for the butterflies.

Weekly Challenge #16: Cute As a Button Sketch Challenge!

The project must use the sketch as inspiration and in addition to using the sketch, we also want you to incorporate STAMPING and BUTTONS (of course!).

I used Cosmo Cricket patterned paper, most of the buttons are actually fake punched MS buttons, I used the Heritage cartridge for the title and the trike.  Stamped on the small journaling block. 




More very old photos- but I am trying to stay true to my self challenge to scrapbook more. I will be getting a lot done at this rate.

Circle monthly Challenge

JANUARY MONTHLY CHALLENGE: SCRAPLIFT A CIRCLE BLOG PROJECT!

For this month’s challenge we would like to see you scraplift one of the projects you have seen us present here on the blog. It can be anything! And feel free to add your own creative twist to the project. Project must be newly created for this challenge and should include the following elements to qualify.
Use 2 or more Cricut Cuts on the project.
Use a project you have seen on the Cricut Circle Blog as inspiration for your project.
Use products from at least two of our Sponsor.

 
My inspiration was from Jana's weekly challenge on November 19 “Vintage elements and a Sketch”- I never got a chance to submit anything that week- although I had started a card- but I came across these photos from 1922 of my Grandmother with her niece and nephew and her own daughter and just knew the sketch would be perfect- I wanted to also incorporate one of the folded flowers- but in this case it is really just half- so more like a fan. Could not resist the title of "Kissin' Cousins"- the two little girls were just months different in age. I used Cosmo Cricket paper, American crafts ribbon and material covered Thickers. I used Picturesque, Heritage and Sentimental cartridges and Cuttlebug folder to add texture to the title. I am really happy with the out come and having a wonderful time working on theses old photos with new paper-lines.

Jinger's Card Challenge

Here is my card for Jinger's contest- I was lucky enough to have two of the three carts (used WDAM) that were required and also Anna Griffin letters- it was a fun card to make- should have signed it from Cinderella and Dorothy- my best friend gave my daughter a sign with this saying- lets just say my daughter loves shoes and leave it at that. The patterned paper is Graphic 45 and the glitter paper is from Hobby Lobby- Paper Studio- this glitter paper cuts really nicely on the cricut.

Weekly challenge 15, Feeling Frosty

 The challenge this week was to use at least two Cricut cuts and  to incorporate white paint, metal, and a snowflake cut on your project this week.

As much as I have loved working on cards I really want to get back to scrapbooking so I am challenging myself to try and scrapbook for some of the up-coming challenges.

I used Winter Woodlands for all the cuts, Making Memories old metal snowflakes and snowman charms and white 
 paint around the edge of the page and on the metal. Of course I also added a little bit of stickles for a frosty feel. I am so lucky to have so many family photos all the way back to the late 1800s - these photos are of my great Uncle and my dad's cousin from 1923- it's funny how the same joy of playing in the snow is not only true now but also 100 years ago. The Cousin (Ted Ferris) fought in WWII and was part of the army unit that liberated Dachau in Germany.

Weekly Challenge #14: Getting In Shape!

You had to create something in a shape other than square or rectangle-Your project must also include a number somewhere and bling of some kind (to go along with this week’s theme of “Blinging in the New Year”!  

I used my Gypsy and the Don Juan font and created a card for my brother's 50th birthday this year. I used Imaginisce birthday paper- which is one of my favorite paper lines and I cut pieces of the paper to add as embellishments- including the balloons which are on wire and threaded through the crease in the card. My bling is a little hard to see but it is on the candles on the cake. I loved doing this and will be doing more in the future.

My Pink Stamper Design Team entry

Challenge:  Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using my favorite colors.....Pink, Green, Brown (other optional color of your choice) my is goldish-yellow.
I had to think about my favorite cartridge- because it depends on what I am working on- but I have had numerous compliments on the "creatures" I create from the Serenade cartridge- so I pick it. The cardstock is Bazzill the patterned paper is from K&Company and the sentiment I typed on the computer and cut out with a Spellbinder die. There is bling from Queen and Company and of course Stickles. I created several entries- but decided on this one at the last minute- I love the patten paper
