Shall We Dance Blog Hop and weekly challenge

If you are here for the Shall WE Dance Blog hop you are in the right place. You should have started at http://greengirlscraps.blogspot.com/
and arrived here from
If you have gotten here another way though I have listed everyone below. Please post a comment I am giving away blog candy- but it is a surprise. I will select the winner on Monday evening so please leave a way for me to contact you. I would love for you to become a follower but it is not required.  Now on to the show.

I used the medallion function and made it 11.5 inches. I also used the SWD cartridge for the title. I have been struggling with this layout for awhile because the costume is not the traditional ballet pink and although I was not over joyed with the cartridge I knew I had a few photos I could use it for- in the end I am pretty happy and the hop got me moving to use the cartridge. Hope the hop inspires others to try it out. By the way the photos are from scanned slides and are 42 years old- and yes that is me. I want to encourage everyone to scrapbook about their own childhood so you can share it with your children and grandchildren ( I don't have any of those yet). I made a quick tulle tutu and added Prima flowers, punched butterflies, Prima bling and of course Stickles.
The paper is from October Afternoon. I hope you enjoyed.
The next stop is http://scrappidyashy.blogspot.com/

Nov Circle Magazine Challenge

The challenge was to create a box or bag with one cut from a critcut cartridge. I created this ornament box- I used TBBM for the box, WICO for snowflake and AMU for the circle and letter initial. The paper is from We R Memory Keepers andI love the fact that the Santa and sleigh wrapped around perfectly. I used ribbon from American crafts  (which I never get enough of) the ribbon runs under the initial which had been popped up- a fun way to keep the box closed. I wish that they would design a box and lid separately- but I see that Cindy posted a template on the Circle Blog on Wednesday.

weekly circle challenge

This is for the Circle weekly challenge- we had to use black in the project and re-purpose something. I used the Winter Woodland cart for the bird and the branch- paper is SEI from last year and Peace is from K&Company- the re-purposed part is the window in the card- it is from the packaging of a Cricut Cartridge- there should be a use for all that plastic. I wanted to add a rub on but my daughter has
reorganized my scraproom and  I can't find them? Pretty funny.

1 year

My daughter asked me to make a card for her to give her boyfriend for their 1st anniversary. She specifically asked that it be "cute" and since she loves penguins so I used the create a critter penguin. It was simple but met the requirement for "cute".

Dinomite Christmas- ornament entry

This is my entry for the Christmas ornament- beware Dawn two of these will be coming your way. One for each boy. I was so lucky to find the old fashion clear plastic ornaments that come apart down the middle. Used the cuttle bug to cut the scalloped circle- the dino is from CAC and the dino foot print is from the Dino cartridge. Hope the boys like them.

Weekly challenge cricut circle

Sometimes what you plan actually turns out just like you picture it- this is one on my times- I used K&Company paper and used the Tent card technique- the bird is from 50 states- Colorado I think- the leaves and swirls are from the Thanksgiving cartridge. I did the stitching on the machine- next time I would use a zig zag instead. I used some old velveteen paper I had for the bird- just love it because it is easy to chalk. Nestibilities for the frame and used fun foam to give it dimension.

Ok it is now day 2 of the Thanksgiving blog hop- my creation for today is a wreath I made for the donor room at work- If you read my BIO- you know I work for the American Red Cross- I am very proud of that and feel it is my duty to remind everyone to give blood if you can- this wreath will go up in the donor room to thank those who have given- which is really what Thanksgiving should be all about. It cost me at three dollars- I used a wreath form covered it in clearence ribbon then cut apart a leave swag- hot glued the leaves to the wreath and added Thanks for Giving- it is actually giving thanks from the Celebrate w/ Florish lite cart- I cut it apart to change the sentiment. Be sure to stop by eveyone on the hop- for the full list see my post from yesterday.

Now for some blog candy- in honor of the fall I have some wonderful ribbon and stickers become a follower and leave a comment on this post and you will be entered to win. Check back Tuesday evening and I will select the winner by Random.org-
Thanks everyone and have a safe and happy holiday-

Well this was supposed to be giving thanks for family, friends, freedom and food-but one of my favorite things about autumn is the Fabulous Fall Foliage. This layout was made without a cricut- can you believe it- besides cricutting I love to paint and crackle finish chipboard which I did on the title for this layout. Maine truly is spectacular in the fall.

I have listed the entire hop below- many are offering some great blog candy so please stop by and don't forget to come back tomorrow for round 2.

1st Banner for Employee Blood Drive Celebration

I made this banner for our end of year celebration of the Employee Blood Drive Teams. The theme was Great American Picnic- and I made aunt and lady bugs out of Styrofoam. This was my first try but am going to try something a little fancier next time.

Beware card

Wow this is my weekly entry for the circle blog. Was not sure I really liked it but use the vellum for the moon behind the cat and rub-ons I got at Ms. Use red pearls for the eyes- and of course stickles. The cut is from Pumpkin carving.

My strange entry for the monthly chanllenge

Ok- I know this is strange- but one thing I really like about Creating is using it at my work. I work for the American Red Cross with the section that collects blood- last year I carved the foam pumpkins for the donor sites- this year when I saw the vampire font on the Happy Hauntings Cart- I just knew I had to do something with it. The back of the sings are from Ms I think they say cemetery underneath. I just used a silver pearlized paper ran it thorough the Cuttlebug with TH brick folder and inked so it looked like stone.

Autumn Splendor Weekly Challenge #3

Well here is my entry for the weekly circle challenge- I really struggled with the colors and as you can see I ended up with some yellow in the mix- this is Basic Grey paper and some K&Company- the bird is from Wall Decor and the butterflies are MS punch.

2 Dinos for 2 sweet boys

I made this card for two sweet boys that have had a rough time lately- but their Grandmother has them now and things are much better- they love to get mail and I thought every so often I would send them these two doing funny things- Next time I think I will add Halloween costumes and then maybe Santa Hats- I would like it to be an on going "story" of the two brother dinos. Hope they like them.

Think Pink

This is my entry for the Think Pink Contest
on the Cricut Circle Blog- we had to pick 3 of the following to use in the project; pink, glitter, gems, flourish, scallops or ruffles.

The flamingo really lent itself to a tall card-so this is a 4x9 inch.

The flamingo is from the Serenade cartridge the label is from the Lacey Labels lite cartridge.

I used Pink of course- but the flamingo is completely glittered-lots of bling (Prima) was added to the paper (K&Company)
and I added a piece of ribbon around the flamingo's neck as the symbol of Breast Cancer awareness.

Haunted Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to Time2Create
If you're here for the Haunted Halloween Blog Hop you're in the right place!
You should have arrived at my blog from http://fantabulouslypink.blogspot.com/
But if you just found us hop on over to the Cricut Confessions http://www.cricutconfessions.com/ to get started.

After viewing my blog- hop on over to the last stop on this haunted trip by using the following link.
http://www.nutsaboutcuts.com/

But first take a look I have 4 posts for the hop- three cards and the last is blog candy- just become a follower and post a comment on the blog candy post and you will be eligible to win a great prize.

I couldn't decide what to do- I wanted to use all three of the Halloween cartridges. The photos below are of my "invention"- an easel- step card- it is a 6x6 square and the bottom of the card is scored 4x every half inch. This is where you can add the standing parts- it makes it a little bulky but who would use a regular envelope anyway. The house is cut from Oct 31 the creatures are all Sandylion stickers

Beware of friendly green monsters

Halloween Hop project 2

This is a self standing pop up card- the instructions are at Splitcoast Stampers- I just thought the tomb was perfect for this pop up. Tomb and hand cut from Oct 31 and the embossing is with Tim Holtz brick folder. I think it looks a lot like stone.

Frightfully Spooky

Halloween Hop Project 3

Could not resist using the window- I have seen so many people doing fantastic things with it. The window is from Oct 31 and the skulls peaking out are from Pumpkin Carving.
