Wow more than two months since I posted- had a nice time at the SC Circle meet up in Greenville- I was disappointed in the Provo Craft representation, although nice I had expected more (demonstration or a look at up coming circle cartridges) – but had a great time meeting all the ladies and exchanging tags and cards.
But enough of that- I wanted to get my package entry in for the monthly circle contact.
DECEMBER MONTHLY CHALLENGE: Holiday Gift Wrapping Challenge!
The Challenge: Use your Cricut machines, Cuttlebug, Yudu, etc. to create beautiful gift-wrapping. We want to see the unique and personalized details you add to your gift packaging, wrapping, gift tags, cards and more!
I am giving multiple gift cards to my daughter and her fiancĂ©- nothing extravagant but enough for the two of them to have four different simple meals this winter without spending a lot of money or making a lot of fuss. I wanted to do something along the lines of recipe cards- so broke the cards down to coffee, salad, soup, poultry and fish- to correspond to the gift cards. I used an old jewelry gift box and covered it in BoBunny paper and made the fold out section with kraft paper- I used the From My Kitchen Cartridge and for the top made a medallion with layered snowflakes for the Winter Lace Cartridge. I was pretty happy with it and will be using this idea in the future- probably similar for my son’s high school graduation gift.

SEPTEMBER MONTHLY CHALLENGE: Window Dressing Challenge!
Create a project of your choice and include a WINDOW element of some kind! Your project must include at least 2 different Cricut Image Cuts. You can create any type of project you would like (tag, altered project, mini album, etc.) but your project must be newly created for this challenge I used some BoBunny paper and some glitter paper- I even used a transparency in the window. The center of the flowers is Stickles and beads.
Weekly Challenge #41: Interactive Elements Challenge!
For this challenge, we want to see you add an interactive element to your project. Your project must be newly created for this challenge and include at least 2 Cricut Image Cuts. You must submit a project to be entered into the Challenge Prize Drawing.
I knew I wanted to do a waterfall card for this- and it has been so hard at work lately and one of my colleagues has been down so I created this funny card to cheer her up . I used the Car Decals cartridge- I think it is the first time I have used it. The little mouse was pretty cute- so I designed the card around him.

Weekly Challenge #40: Glittery Card Sketch Challenge!
The Challenge: This week we want to see your interpretation of the following card sketch. Please include some kind of glitter or bling on your card.
For my card I used three different cartridges- Elegant Edges, Beyond Birthdays and Birthday Bash. I used glitter paper for the wings and used Stickles on the black parts of the bee, on the words and as details on the "flowers". I think it turned out pretty cute- and it is going to my 23 year old daughter for her birthday.

August Circle Magazine Challenge- Cosmo Cricket
Well I really debated about entering anything after I saw Nadia’s entry and some of the others- but one of the things I have enjoyed about the challenges is that is pushes me to do things and use things I might not always use. In this case however I must admit- Cosmo Cricket is one of my most favorite paper lines and I use them quite a lot. For this layout I used papers from the Togetherness line, I also found some old ribbon and stickers from a Cosmo Cricket kit I picked up at Tuesday Morning over a year ago.
I used the following cartridges;
Mickey’s Font for title “Tiburon”
Destinations for the word “California”, I also used the Imagine to print the papers from Mr. Frosty and Kate’s Kitchen for this part of the page. I love the way you can coordinate the papers this way.
Mother’s day Bouquet for the flowers
I used the Swirls Cuttlebug folder on some of the letters in the title and enhanced it with some chalk ink.

Fall Blog Hop
I just love this button created by circle sister Gonescrappin -
I wish PC would do a Peanuts cartridge.
Welcome to the Fall Blog Hop with Circle Sisters!
You should be coming from the very talented
Paper Memories. If you've just happened to come across my blog please check out each of these talented ladies blogs. You will want to start at Kristen's blog for the beginning
of the hop.
I used the Thanksgiving cartridge from last year and cut the words in three different colors so I could cut apart the letters. I can not remember which cartridge I used for the sign background- but it was probably Lacy Labels or Storybook-I made two so that I could layer them back to back with some foam tape in between. It is a fun centerpiece or greeting in your front hall. The basket, leaves and flowers were from Micheal's last year on clearance- whole thing cost me about 4 bucks to make.
I have blog candy- just leave a comment (and a way to contact you) on this post by Sunday August 28 at 6pm and you will be entered to win a fabulous surprise.
Next stop on the hop is Lavendergal.
Please be safe this weekend and if you are somewhere not affected by the hurricane- think about giving blood at your local blood center.
